Your 3rd or Solar Plexus Chakra or in Sanskrit the name is Manipura (Mani means ‘jewel’ and pura means ‘dwelling place’).
Your Solar Plexus Chakra sits behind your navel and the effect of it radiates just above and just below.
This, my friends is your power source! This is the place where all that has been sealed from the first and second Chakra culminates. If you still haven’t balanced your 1st and 2nd Chakras you will need to do that before you can truly access and harness your power in your life.
The Solar Plexus is the energy center of personal power, mental activity, self-esteem and willpower!
Chakra Color: Yellow
Gland that is associated: Pancreas
Body parts that are managed by the Solar Plexus Chakra: digestive System and organs, skin, breath, upper abdomen, diaphragm, and the adrenal cortex.
Diseases associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra: diabetes, pancreatitis, kidney and adrenal imbalance, low blood pressure, stomach ulcers, heartburn, chronic fatigue, muscular disorders, leaky Gut and candida.
I want to take a moment to talk about a couple conditions from the list above:
~Diabetes is so prevalent in our society today. If you have or know someone with diabetes ask yourself this question “How in touch with myself am I?” “Do I know who I am in this world and am able to walk in my personal power?”
Here is an affirmation for diabetes taken from Louise Hay’s book You Can Heal Your Life: “This moment is filled with joy. I now choose to experience the sweetness of today.”
~Leaky Gut and candida are also two issues that are so common today. I would say that most people have or have had this in their lifetime. If you don’t know…go to a chiropractor that also does kinesiology and focuses on nutrition….they can test you very easily. It is caused by bodily toxicity and leakage of toxins into the bloodstream through the walls of the small intestine. Excess gluten and sugar are huge culprits of this condition.
The affirmation for leaky gut and candida is: “I give myself permission to be all that I can be, and I deserve the very best in life. I love and appreciate myself and others.”
If you are balanced in this Chakra:
you are a thinker and are driven to organize all of your ideas, facts, information and concepts into understandable ways. You are assertive in a healthy way. You revel in the idea of cooperation (vs. competition) and you have a dynamic energy, and intelligence. You are decisiveness and have a healthy mental focus. You feel good with your relationship to the world and you love the work you are doing. You see yourself as a valuable co-creator in the world that you live in.
If you have deficiencies in Solar Plexus Chakra:
you will experience low-self esteem, low self-confidence, unhappiness in your life situation. You are easy to be manipulated and you have poor self discipline and poor digestion. This may also manifest in victim mentality, unreliability, and being passive.
If you have excesses in the Solar Plexus Chakra:
you will be very controlling, aggressive, you will always feel the need to be right, and will have a dominating behavior. Stubbornness, egotism, pride and competition will be traits that you will express as well.
This Chakra also has to do with our ‘monkey mind’ or our mental chatter. This Chakra digests ideas and our ideas come from our beliefs. What are your beliefs about yourself, others and life? Whatever those are will be your inner dialogue and will manifest in the life that you have created.
Look around you….do you like what you see? Are you happy with your life? If so…then you will most likely have a balanced Solar Plexus. If not then maybe it’s time to shift or challenge the beliefs that you are carrying around with you. As a person who is continuously evolving (and you are or you wouldn’t be reading this) we continually need to be challenging the beliefs that we have.
Sometimes the beliefs that are no longer serving us are so deep that it takes some very deep inner work to bring them to the surface so they can be replaced by beliefs that start to serve us.
