Blue zones are places where people lead exceptionally long, happy, and healthy lives. Five blue zones have been identified worldwide: Okinawa (Japan); Sardinia (Italy); Nicoya (Costa Rica); Icaria (Greece); and Loma Linda, California (Seventh-day Adventists).
