Fame, fortune, success and fabulous lives—the stars really do seem to have it all. But how did they get there? Luck? Hard work? Famous parents?
All the glitz and glitter that surrounds the “stars” must mean they have something we could never dream of having, right?
Wrong.
The stars got to where they are with the same components that everyone uses:
- Desire
- Belief
- Action
Yep. Those three elements, sooner or later, will result in—well, maybe not necessary stardom—but success!
Every star on the planet, in fact every human being on the planet, uses those same tools to create virtually everything in their lives—you and me included.
So what did the stars do differently than most? They implemented those three critical components differently than others do.
And you can learn how to implement differently too. Maybe you don’t want to be a star, but you can have “star-like success” in whatever area of life you desire.
And that’s where it starts…
Desire
You’ve heard the stories of actors, musicians, authors and others who tell the stories of their not-so-overnight successes. What kept them going year after year? A very powerful desire to succeed.
As Rod Stewart said in a recent interview, “You’ve got to have this burning desire in your chest to succeed.”
The stars that launched into the stratosphere wanted it so badly they could taste it—and they simply didn’t give up.
Ah, I can hear you raising the question, “What about all the starving actors and artists who never did make it and who eventually DID give up?”
Good question—because not only do the successful ones want it badly, they also…
Believe
The ones who “made it” in our world all have one thing in common…they believed that they would manifest their dreams. And they actively worked to convince themselves of that, which resulted in changing their belief that it was possible and eventually, probable.
Here’s a few examples:
Suze Orman – A financial expert and also a self-made woman, Suze came from nothing, but used affirmations to completely transform her financial status. She repeated over and over, “I have more money than I will ever need.” And eventually, she did.
Will Smith – Who doesn’t know this beguiling actor? Did you also know he firmly believes he creates his own destiny? In an interview to promote his movie The Pursuit of Happyness, Smith commented, “…you, in sync with that (higher power), have command to will your future.”
Lady Gaga – Using affirmations to shape her future, Lady Gaga said, “You repeat it to yourself every day: Music is my life, music is my life—the fame is inside of me, I’m going to make a number one record with number one hits. You’re saying a lie over and over and over again, an then, one day, the lie is true.”
Most of us don’t believe our fate lies in our hands—that we have the power and ability to literally create our world. But we can change those beliefs—and with less effort than the stars who did it the hard way.
However, after you kindle your desire, and change your beliefs, you still need to take…
Action
As Jim Carrey, who practiced visualization to skyrocket his acting career before he had a clue about how powerful it was says, “You can’t just visualize (the success) and then go eat a sandwich.”
He’s right. Taking action is critical to mega-success (or any success for that matter). You have to go into the world and take steps towards your dream.
Without action, all you have is a fantasy. And fantasies don’t become real.
It Sounds Too Easy
Can it be just those three little things that take one from being an unknown to stratospheric stardom?
Yes. Conscious creation isn’t difficult. But it is complex. For most of us, it takes time to clarify your desires, ferret out and change negative beliefs and then take the action required to build your dream—all the while trusting that the dream will come true.
And when you stop looking at the stars as “the exceptions” and start realizing they are “proving the rule” that we create our own reality; it will get easier for you, too.
But know…
Your Life Won’t Look Like Theirs
What! But that is precisely what I want—their life!
And that is precisely why you won’t create it.
You have your own unique talents, gifts and strengths and there is a life that is perfect for you—a life that will make you the happiest, healthiest and most fulfilled you can possibly be. To yearn after someone else’s life is giving your power away.
Dream (and create) a life that is your perfect life. Include money in that dream, and success, and love—of course—but let the universe handle how it manifests. And trust that it will manifest in a way that is absolutely perfect, for you.
