Meditating Your Life: The Path to Personal Freedom

Meditating Your Life: The Path to Personal Freedom by Dr. Debra Reble | #AspireMag

“Being fully present is living your life as a meditation.” ~ Dr. Debra Reble

Meditating your life is the path to personal freedom and inner peace. It is key to living a Soul-Hearted life with less suffering and with more ease and joy. Moreover, it also builds higher awareness and helps you flow with whatever you encounter in your life.

Through expanding your higher awareness, you access a greater wealth of information to support your spiritual growth and well-being. You sense, feel, and intuit what resonates with your soul’s path. You shift from viewing things simply in physical terms, or three-dimensional reality (3D) to seeing why things happen from an elevated, more spiritual perspective, or multi-dimensional (5D) reality.

When you meditate your life, you view your life from an expanded soul perspective. From this highly aware state, you embrace every moment as part of your soul’s journey. You trust how it all contributes to your soul’s evolution which ultimately is about returning home, to the divine.

Sustaining a meditative mindset bypasses the brain and brings you into your heart center, a non-judgment zone. In this space of grace, you surrender to what is and release your need to control any person, situation, or outcome. You remain in continuous state of non-reaction and non-attachment as you go about your life. Mostly, you trust the divine unfolding of your life by leading with your heart and listening to soul’s guidance.

These simple sacred practices will accelerate your soul growth and assist you in meditating your life. They will also bring your soul’s guidance through your life in an ever-greater way. Some of these practices will enhance what you already do or they may be altogether new to you:

Meditation:

Meditation is more than a spiritual practice; it is the foundation of a soul-hearted life. It is the sacred act of going within and connecting with the divine. As soon as you close your eyes, you go within yourself and your perspective becomes expanded and you connect to an infinite scope of reality. It takes you out of the three-dimensional (3D) reality of the physical and brings you into the five-dimensional (5D) reality of the spiritual.

Meditation can be experienced in many different ways than simply sitting cross-legged on the floor. We all meditate differently and our inner experience in meditation is unique. What is important is you find meditation practices that work for you such as stillness, contemplation, focusing, prayer, or pausing to name a few.

How much time you spend in meditation will vary for you. For some, it may be an hour, for others it could be five minutes. The benefits far outnumber the time it takes to do it.

Simply close your eyes and you are drawn within, into your spiritual dimension where you connect to source/God/ universal energy, or whatever you may call it. Set the alarm on your phone to remind you. Simply take five minutes at the beginning and end of the day to open your heart to your soul self and strengthen your connection with the universe.

Moving Meditation: Meditatively walking is used for spiritual centering, contemplation, and meditation. It is a form of active meditation which allows your mind to focus on your movement along the path. It helps you stay centered and in a state of grace while moving. Meditatively walking can be surprisingly calming and clarifying for your mind. Slow, intentional walking in a quiet place on a set path allows for a level of focus that can be difficult to find in your busy life.

Practice by going outside for a 15-minute walk. Do so without your phone or put your phone in your pocket so it’s not a distraction. Before you start to walk, stand on the earth, and draw your attention down to your feet. Tap them lightly in place and notice how your feet feel against the earth.

As you begin to walk, notice that you don’t need to think about moving your legs. They know what to do so you can focus on the rhythm of your breath in and out. Now shift your focus to your steps and how your body feels as it moves one step in front of the other.

Notice as you take a step forward, you are walking toward your future. While at the same time, you release your back foot, letting go of the past. The space between your steps is the present. Pay attention to this present space as you walk.

Practice daily activities like cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, eating, shopping, walking, and driving with conscious awareness, participating in them with the intention of being fully present in the moment.

Allowing Your Thoughts and Feelings to Just be. Let your thoughts be by simply noticing them move through your mind. Sit in an attitude of neutrality by dropping down into your heart space. By allowing your feelings to arise in this safe space, you increase your tolerance and resilience for whatever comes up and can observe your experience from a detached loving place instead of from a place of reaction. Allowing your thoughts and feelings to emerge in this neutral zone, you realize that fear and love cannot occupy the same space. Stepping into this space of equanimity takes the emotional charge off any experience and brings you into your center of personal power.

Repeating the Mantra Let It Be: Saying the mantra, “Let it be,” keeps you in a state of grace as you move through your daily life. It reminds you to allow what is happening in your life without judging or trying to force things to happen or change.

Simply repeat the mantra, “Let it be,” when you notice yourself trying to control people or situations that are out of your control. One of the ways you know when you’re feeling out of control on the inside is when you notice yourself trying to micromanage everyone. This shows you that it is time to pause, open your heart, and be present with what is happening in the moment.

This simple yet, empowering affirmation reminds you to let go of your perceived control of the world, trust in your divine source, and lead with your heart. Using the affirmation, Let It Be, helps you stay in your own lane and trust the divine unfolding of your life.

Pause to Contemplate and Tune into Your Energy: Take a break, put your hands over your heart and drop down into your heart space, your soul chamber. Just shifting from your head to your heart changes your energy immediately and gives you an instantaneous experience of your connection to the divine.

Step back and observe yourself when you are with someone or in a particular situation. Then ask yourself: Is this a vibration I want in my life? Do I resonate with the energy I’m in right now? Do I feel good in this vibration? or Do I need to change the vibration I’m in?

Journal the answers to these questions and notice if there are any patterns or themes to when you feel vibrationally aligned with soul and when you don’t. Once you are aware of when and where you aren’t feeling in high vibe, you can start to make different choices.

Having A Sacred Chat with Your Soul:  There’s no greater divine messenger in your life then you, your soul. Your soul already knows everything about everything. It’s all within you and you have access to it as part of the infinite. You can train your head to take direction from your heart. It just takes practice having sacred soul chats.

First, create a safe space where you will be uninterrupted. Surround yourself with your favorite scents, sounds, and sensations. Now, close your eyes, put your hand on your heart, and envision your soul as your spiritual best friend. Invite your soul to come into your present awareness. Open and allow your heart to soften and receive the wisdom your soul holds.

Begin the sacred chat by asking your soul your questions. Be still and allow the answers to float to the surface in whatever form comes through. Apply what you hear, feel, or sense to your life.
