I am sure that many of you have read the book and seen the movie that tells you the magic behind manifesting the life of your dreams. There is a huge element that doesn’t get addressed by the method that is discussed. The positive thoughts and dream boards are great and effective. And there is always the opposite polarity that must be addressed as well.
You, as the magical being you are, have a wealth of programming, beliefs and triggers that are not always pushing you in the same direction as the desires and dream boards you are creating. These underlying thought forms and programs may not be yours. You likely cannot even articulate exactly what they are, but they lurk anyway.
The triggers and beliefs we are discussing are not to be feared. They, admittedly, may be uncomfortable, but they serve you and your ego in some way. They probably have kept you alive at some point. This is a perfect example of something that undermines manifestation. If we want to have a million dollars in our bank account, we are often told to imagine it, feel how it would feel to have that, and “fake it until you make it.” Meanwhile, in the back of your brain, your monkey mind is running through all the bad things that could happen. What ifs, that are actually not your thoughts and fears, but those of your family, friends, culture, etc.
I will refer to them as triggers, even though they are actually far more expansive than just triggers. Let’s dive into the triggers that are holding you back! If the popular method of manifesting is followed, you force positivity to override the thoughts and feelings you actually have. I find this to be very masculine oriented–Bro-manifesting. It is taught not to pay attention to the things that don’t align with the outcome you endeavor to manifest, so you keep stumbling over the same things. They don’t go away, just because you didn’t make eye contact with them. Those triggers keep showing up until you make the decision to address them and deflate the impact they have on you and your attempt at bro-manifesting.
Let’s take clutter as an example. If you have the desire to manifest a new home, but the one you have is full of clutter, you can create vision boards and go to open houses an infinite number of times. But until you address the programming that is making you collect clutter, you are likely not going to find the space that makes you happy. Clutter is a really fun trigger to work with because it has so many meanings. Perhaps you felt abandoned as a child, so stuff makes you feel secure. Maybe you grew up with parents or grandparents who lived through a depression and taught you that you should never throw things away, in case you can never buy it again. These are all very real beliefs that we have been taught, either through experience or familial programming. And each of these beliefs causes struggle.
My digging into the triggers and beliefs that are lurking beneath the surface, we have the opportunity to heal the source of them, effectively shifting our trajectory into a new, amazing direction toward the things we truly desire to manifest.
When you have an unpleasant thought or experience, ignoring and attempting to forget, actually gives that trigger power. Take back the power and claim that trigger has no hold on you. Look it directly in the eyes and acknowledge it. This approach is an expression of Divine Feminine Power and allows you to flow through the healing of triggers and into the life you desire. I always advise seeking a mentor to assist with traumas, so you can heal in the most effective way possible. Spoiler alert—Healing does not have to take a long time. You can shift quickly!
