Life has a way of proving to you what you are really made of.
It is consistently calling you to learn, step outside of your comfort zone, face challenges, follow inner callings, and heal and shed the skin of limiting beliefs that have kept you feeling stuck in important areas of your life. Whether in your relationships, work, abundance, health, work/life balance, or your inner well-being and self-perception, every area is impacted at one time or another.
Life has a way of guiding you to realize the unlimited potential that is loaded and coded within you at birth. It has a way of calling to you. It can come as an inner pull or intuition to pursue something or make changes in your life or in yourself, or it can come as a significant challenge or a storm of challenges all at once.
As you have likely discovered, it is your challenges that get your attention the most and have the potential to create the most significant transformation. I have learned that when you can see your challenges from a higher perspective, your soul’s vantage point — or from what I call an Empowered Lifeview™ — you experience profound shifts.
And these shifts lead you to the right people, right opportunities, right realizations, and the right timing for your next steps toward a sacred purpose and destiny.
These shifts help to unlock your higher potential, higher life path, and guide you to understand more fully why you are here and what unique gifts you are meant to share. You experience a shift in consciousness and confidence that unlocks the magic and miracles of life.
“Through my challenges?” You skeptically may ask. “But my challenges are awful, unpleasant, heartbreaking, devastating, and downright dreadful.”
Yes, they are, but beautiful friend, one of the most empowering things I’ve learned, and I want to share with you, is that your challenges serve a special and sacred purpose to awaken and uplift you to your highest potential.
They have the power to call you to where you need to heal and grow, what you need to learn, what you are being called to contribute, and how you can fulfill all that your soul came here to do in your own unique way.
Imagine for a moment that before your soul came into this human experience, it made plans to learn and experience key aspects about itself, heal areas that it feels need focus, grow more fully into its divine nature, and contribute to other souls along the way. Now imagine that at birth, your soul plans to fall sleep to itself and forget it is a soul.
For your soul to fulfill its purpose through you, it must create opportunities in your life for you to wake up. It must get your attention. And what better way than to place challenges along your path, mountains to climb, and obstacles to overcome.
When you come across challenging times in your life or when things don’t go your way or according to your plans, it is natural to feel confused, angry, and uncertain about the future. In your turmoil and pain, it is normal to want to hide, fight, and resist. It is normal to question your worth, your path, and why you experience specific challenges in your life.
In these raw moments when you feel broken down by life or thrown a curveball — whether losing your job, failing at a goal or project, experiencing a problem with money or health or a relationship, or someone you love is going through something difficult and you desire to help them — it is natural to want to curse your challenges, thinking they serve no meaning except to cause you suffering or get in the way of your life plans.
But here is the beautiful thing that happens when challenges arise — something shifts within you.
Your challenges prompt you to ask big life questions. They rattle you right down to the core, bring into awareness what needs to change, and where you or your path in life needs to come into greater alignment with your soul and the higher potential lying dormant within you.
You are being called to wake up.
Although it does not feel this way when you are deep in your challenges, in these raw moments, you are purposely broken open. As in the words of Rumi, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” Your consciousness is opened, and you begin to access a deeper part of yourself that your soul is calling you to realize.
You begin to place all your focus on learning why your specific challenges are arising, where you or circumstances need to heal or change, and where you need to grow, evolve, and transcend.
It is as if your challenges serve to call you home to what is important to you, your soul, and your higher life path infinitely available to you.
If you are just humming along in life, you’re probably not asking questions like, “Why am I here?” “Who am I?” “Why am I experiencing this in my life?” “Am I meant for something more?”
From my experience, nothing else stops you in your tracks, changes your trajectory, and prompts you to look at your life differently more than your challenges. It is like your soul and the Universe are shaking things up to get your attention — and for a special reason. You are being called to advance to your next level of learning, healing, growing, and contributing.
Life is speaking to you in these moments.
Your challenges are going to call you to momentarily shift your focus where old limiting beliefs may come into question, an old-world view may be rattled, and an inner prompting is meant to reveal itself.
And when you ask the right questions, you can be open to receiving the right answers. That is the power and potential of being shaken up and broken down to that level.
Now, it is important to note that you don’t need to experience an emotionally charged challenge or a storm of challenges to have a breakthrough or awakening. Yet undoubtedly, they serve a purpose in getting your attention.
And in response, you are called to what is going to be most powerful for you to realign with your soul and Source, and experience tangible results in your life. You might be inspired to meditate to relieve your stress or learn about alternative methods for healing your mind or body. You might be inspired to reconnect with nature as a way to rekindle your passions.
So, in the moments of your challenges, ask yourself: “What am I being asked to see?” “What qualities must I cultivate to get through this challenge?” “Where is life asking me to shift — either in myself or in my life?” “Could this challenge be leading me to something better once on the other side, and if so, what can that be?”
My friend, as a sacred soul, you have infinite potential to come into this life, realize and awaken to who you are, and use what you are loaded and coded with at birth to fulfill a special and sacred purpose. And your challenges can be what awaken you to do so.
