All business owners want their businesses to thrive, and they work hard to make that happen. They do everything they are taught to do, told to do. But sometimes, despite their best efforts, they don’t get the desired results. Has that ever happened to you? There is a good reason why. I see many business owners pick strategies and tactics that go against who they are and how they are naturally wired to operate. The result often leaves them wondering what went wrong or whether they have what it takes to have a business.
Everyone is wired for abundance and success.
Human Design shows us that we are all unique and are divinely wired for abundance and success. There are many ways your Human Design can serve as the roadmap for ease, flow, and abundance. When you follow your design and understand how your clients are designed it can help your business thrive.
Strategy 1: Build Deeper Client Relationships
Human Design Energy Types and the Profiles are powerful tools to help you understand your clients, how they are wired to operate and how they learn and process information so you can serve them in a way that resonates with them. They will feel seen, heard, and understood by you, which will deepen your relationship and help them feel like you are exactly the right person to help them.
Both the Energy Type and the Profiles are printed on the left side of the Human Design Chart. You don’t need to decipher any of the numbers on the body graph to get this information. Here is an explanation of the types and the profiles.
The Five Energy Types
- The Manifestor has initiating energy. Manifestors are here to get the ball rolling by inspiring others into action, leading change, and getting things started. They can be driven, powerful and impulsive. They are creative and don’t like to be told what to do. They have bursts of energy, but their energy is not sustainable. They need periods of rest. They are starters and may prefer to move on to the next new idea before completing the first one.
- The Generator has magnetic energy. Generators are here to respond to work they are passionate about and master it. They draw the ideas in and build them into reality. They are energetic, self-aware and have sustainable energy for work and life. They can get frustrated and quit prematurely. They have less success when they try to initiate. They love yes/no questions which help them get clarity and gives them something to respond to.
- The Manifesting Generator has fast acting energy. They are Generators, the builders of the world and are here to work and become masters of their work. They are energetic multitaskers and have sustainable energy for work and life. They are extremely fast and may skip steps.
- The Projector has penetrating energy. Projectors are here to guide and direct others. They intuitively see the potential and blocks in people and understand how to correct them. They are insightful and need periods of rest as they do not have sustainable energy. They may offer their insights by blurting them out causing their insights to are ignored. They need to wait for the invitation to contribute.
- The Reflector has mirror energy. Reflectors are wise observers and reflect back to humanity how we are doing. They are enthusiastic, sensitive and unique, making up less than 1% of the population. They need time and to be in the right place with the right people. They do better in groups.
The 6 Profile Lines: How We Learn and Process Information
The 6 Profile Lines help us understand how people learn and can help you deliver information in a way that is better received by your client. Each person has two of the lines.
- Line 1 needs information and likes to investigate and research. They need data to get clarity.
- Line 2 needs alone time to process things. They know their natural talents and enjoy getting feedback and recognition that calls them out to share their wisdom.
- Line 3 is an experimenter. They are all about trial and error. They learn by trying things and seeing the lessons in the result.
- Line 4 is a connector. They learn through their relationships, and they are built for deep and intimate ones. They are natural networkers and thrive in groups.
- Line 5 is a visionary leader. They can look at something and see a solution no one else sees. They need time to reflect on the lessons they have learned.
- Line 6 is a role model. Early in life they are experimenters. In midlife they contemplate what they have learned and later in life they become wise sages for others.
Strategy 2: Use Human Design in Your Sales and Marketing Copy
Your marketing and sales speak should address the buyer in each energy type. When you use elements that speak to each of the types, you will improve your sales and marketing results. Let’s look at each of the types as buyers.
- A Manifestor buyer is a quick evaluator of opportunity and will respond quickly based on what their intuition or their gut is telling them. Make your marketing inform the manifestor.
- A Generator responds to Yes/No questions so all sales speak should start with a question. It gives Generator Buyers something to respond to. Next give them a sign that this is the right thing for them by helping them to see themselves in scenarios.
- The Manifesting Generator is a Generator with fast acting energy. Manifesting Generators can skip steps due to their speed. A long sales letter is probably lost on a Manifesting Generator. They are just moving too fast.
- The Projector Buyer needs to be invited into what you are doing. Use the word Invitation in your sales speak. Projector Buyers are intuitive and can see through inauthenticity. You will turn them off if you don’t take the time to build a trusted relationship.
- The REFLECTOR has mirror energy. Reflector Buyers are all about relationships and do better in groups. They require clarity so make sure to build the relationships and give them enough detail so they can find the clarity they need to decide.
Strategy 3: Align With How You Are Wired to Operate
Finally, follow the strategy for your energy type. That is how you are naturally wired to operate for success. Manifestors should inform others what they are doing. Generators and Manifesting Generators should respond not initiate. Projectors should wait to be invited to share their insights. Reflectors should share their feedback when the time is right.
