We all know the adage that the universe supports you in your highest and best interest, but sometimes that is really difficult to believe. Especially when you are so deep in the masculine model of having to claw tooth and nail for everything you desire in life. I spent so many years forcing things to happen that I didn’t ever trust that anyone or anything could just be, for no other reason, in my best interest.
Like that too good to be true kind of guy asking you on a date. Most of us are waiting for the other shoe to drop or wondering if the hidden camera will pop out at the exact moment you relax into trusting what is happening for you. Yep – I spent years in that energy. If I wanted anything done right, I had to do it all myself.
I couldn’t have been farther from the truth. The trick was that I had to surrender and trust. I know that is a hilarious concept. One that my resistance screamed was the dumbest shit I ever thought of. That’s when the Divine Feminine introduced herself to me in the form of a dragon. A caring, maternal, fire breathing dragon that had no regard for judgments of anyone.
I know this sounds unusual, but I invite you to consider the realm of energy that enmeshes with your energy every day. This unseen field is full of amazing concepts, notions and vibrations. All you have to do is close your eyes and allow the flow to lead you to exactly what needs to show itself. Indulge me and your inner Divine Feminine as we walk this path for a moment.
4 Practices to Connect with the Divine Feminine
- Find a quiet space within the chaos.
Most of us are caught in the hustle of getting things done in preparation for another day of getting things done. This cycle does not provide the spaciousness to allow connection to anything, and certainly not your soul, inner voice and divine intuition. These are all elements of the Divine Feminine. She doesn’t show up with sparkles and billowing robes. She shows up in the quiet of sitting still and invites in the creative genius that is driving you toward the greatness you are meant for.
Even the strongest and most successful of us don’t forge this path alone. I have learned to trust the guidance and support of Ascended Master Goddess Energies which have stirred confidence in my connection with my own divine feminine.
The key to connecting with this energy and to hearing it, is rather simple. Find your quiet space and give yourself the permission to relax into that space, deep within, where nothing exists but you and spirit. This is the time when the Divine Feminine will light your path; offering you awareness and glimpses of you that you never knew.
- Tap into the power of ritual.
Creating a daily ritual is one of those activities that returns tenfold, what you invest into it. The action of ritual signals to your soul on every level that magic is about to happen. It offers permission to step away from the frenzy that is normally around us and retreat to the space within that is solely yours. It is in this space that the Divine Feminine speaks. Her voice is yours and is clear and direct, with kindness and love, so often withheld by our human expressions.
The action of daily ritual also nurtures the ability to trust yourself. When you continue to show up for, in support of yourself, trust blossoms and permission to thrive happens. You are reinforcing the notion that you have you and the Divine Feminine is the energy that nourishes and supports all of you.
Taking action is the most important part of ritual. Don’t create pressure on yourself to get it right or spend more time than you have. Take 10 minutes (create the time by setting your alarm a bit early or don’t hit snooze) and devote that time, fully!
- Forgive yourself for judgment waged against you.
Judgment takes up space that is best suited to serve you in a completely opposite capacity. These negative thoughts, whether yours or someone else’s do nothing but sabotage your ability to create the most amazing life you desire. Connecting with and inviting in the Divine Feminine nurtures mercy and compassion. Focusing on these serves you far more than anyone else. When you can embody mercy and compassion for yourself, that creates the space where trust begins to set in.
Even in the darkest of hours, the Divine Feminine is present to flood us with love, mercy and the ability to find your way of the dark. All you have to do is let go of the guilt, anger and judgment; just enough to allow space for the love and light of your own divine nature to rush in. The more you can let go of anger and negative emotions (even for a few minutes) the better your entire experience is. It’s really true that holding on to anger does nothing to the person you are angry with. It only causes problems for you.
- Observe how all the parts fit together from a higher level.
The way things fit together is known as synchronicity and once you begin to become aware of it, you will notice it everywhere. When you live in the space of forcing things to fit your expectations, they often feel just a little off. When you allow yourself to step back and observe from a slight distance, you will see a pattern forming. As your trust grows, you will see these patterns far before they have gelled. These patterns form the beautiful tapestry you are weaving.
The Divine Feminine knows the pattern you have been working on for lifetimes. The more trust you are able to place in her guidance, the more understanding you will garner for your experience. I see my patterns and know that each experience fits exactly as it is supposed to. This awareness is extremely important because it is not always as you want. This is your story and every story has an intersection with tons of other souls. This intersection is where things can sometimes get messy and where you have to lean into the trust you are cultivating.
The Divine Feminine has a flow that carries you, even when you feel as though you are anchored in the space you have known for too long. Magic can only begin to seep into that flow in the moment you begin to believe in and trust yourself. You, see the trust that you are building in yourself, is trust in the universe. You and the universe conspire to create the most amazing things. All you have to do is to trust yourself and allow the Divine Feminine to lead you to the opportunities that are unfolding before you.
