Are you worn out and exhausted at the end of the day?  Do you find yourself on a short fuse, easily triggered by the smallest things?  Then it is very likely time that you start clearing away the excess static in your energy field-that personal bubble which energetically sustains you and keeps you on the earth.

Everything is energy.  And everything has an energy field.  Whether you are conscious of it or not, you are constantly interacting with the energy fields in your environment: people, pets, electronics, etc.,  So it is key to routinely clear the excessive static that doesn’t need to be living rent-free in your personal space and interfering with your peace of mind.

So I thought it would be nice to compile a list of my top 10 ways to clear and reset your energy field.  Most of these you can do within 3-5 minutes, some of them not so much.  My advice is to utilize the short and sweet as ‘coffee breaks’ throughout your day and the longer ones on a regular basis.

Now imagine, if you will, an old television screen-without cable or satellite and the picture is fuzzy.  You know, it has those static-like lines and fuzzies.  As you move through any of the exercises below, imagine the exercise being the means by which the screen clears and comes into perfect focus. 

  • Breathe-you can do this anywhere and everywhere! In through your nose and out through your mouth.  Be sure to bring your breath down through your lungs and diaphragm into your pelvic area.  Do this for 3-5 breaths.  With each breath, go a bit slower and a bit deeper.  On the final exhale, breathe out more than you took in.
  • Visualization/Meditation-If you are in a restaurant or at work, excuse yourself to the restroom. Take a few breaths to recenter yourself, close your eyes and visualize yourself somewhere peaceful. 
  • Music- keep a soothing instrumental tune handy on your cell phone.
  • Hydrate & Feed your cells- It is very easy to become wrapped up in our day and not drink enough water.  If you aren’t enthused about drinking plain water, infuse with fruit and/or fresh herbs.  Just as you forget to drink you water, you can just as easily neglect your tummy.  Keep some healthy proteins nearby to refuel and recharge!
  • Physical movement- Sometimes it is highly beneficial to change your environment and kinetically shift your energy.
    • Walk in nature, if that isn’t possible stroll through the public space of your office building. Even just walking out to the parking lot and leaning up against a tree is helpful.
    • Yoga, Qi Gong, Thai Chi are all excellent for clearing your energy blocks and encouraging communication within Mind-Body-Spirit.
  • Salt bath- I like to use a mixture of Epsom & Sea salts with baking soda. I also add essential oils to my bath.  This is immediately beneficial physically, mentally & spiritually.  You can even play a guided meditation or some instrumental music in the background for more peaceful ambience.
  • Essential oils- amongst many of their positive healing properties are magnificent for clearing your energy. You can add essential oils to any of these other suggestions as you wish.  Put a drop in your hands, rub them together and cup them in front of your nose and inhale.  I use Young Living, they have a proprietary blend called Valor that is ideal for this and another for high-stress situations, Stress Away, it is like smelling vacation in a bottle.  If you don’t have these:
    • Citrus oils are very uplifting, literally, lemon is like sunshine in a bottle-you open the lid and your body’s automatic response is to smile.
    • Earthy scents are grounding.
    • Menthols, such as peppermint, are great energy boosters.
    • Florals are quite balancing, especially lavender and rose.
  • Crystal energy from the mineral kingdom- Crystals have many great uses and incredible healing properties as well. It doesn’t hurt to have some type of pocket/purse stone.  You can never go wrong with quartz.  Each of the following types have multiple properties, but for our purposes and to help you get started let us look at them this way:
    • Clear Quartz encourages clarity, but can be ‘programmed through your intention’ for anything.
    • Smoky Quartz-if you are on the cell phone or computer, this one is a must as it helps clear the emf’s of these devices.
    • Amethyst helps to purify and protect you.
    • Rose Quartz emotional healing & love energies.
    • Citrine helps with creativity.
  • Energy Sprays- You can make these yourself with essential oils or gem elixirs or both. All you need is a dark colored glass spray bottle, distilled water (I bless it in the elements for an added boost), essential oils to your liking, crystal elixir and a tad of alcohol (I use vodka) this is because oil and water don’t mix, vodka doesn’t have much of a scent to compete with the oils.
  • Energy clearing session-If you find yourself in stressful situations often, or consistently lack energy, trouble sleeping, experience a lot of emotional triggers, then you may want to seek out some energy work.
