The inner beauty of women who own their truth is palpable. When they walk into a room, they intrigue you. They have that “Je ne sais quoi” about them. They are unique, secure in themselves, and filled with joy. They are confident and courageous. They are humble, kind and compassionate. Indeed, they fully own their truth. They are continually growing and glowing.
Each of us has to go within to find and cultivate that truth. Staying connected to that truth is a skill. Women who have mastered this continue to grow it. When you do the work of uncovering, understanding and expressing that truth, it allows them to glow and attract joy into their lives.
Uncovering Your Truth.
You have inner wisdom. You were born with it. What may have happened to it, over time, is that it became hidden. It became covered up by ‘shoulding’ all over yourself. You worry more about how you ‘think’ you are supposed to act, what you ‘think’ you should do, and by following beliefs that no longer serve who you are at the core.
To live your truth and live in the success that is you, you must go within to discover it. There are examples of this kind of success in life. In sports, in business, in parenting and more, you must know the components of how to uncover success. You are no different.
Each of us has unique talents, abilities, and gifts. Understanding these and seeing the golden thread through them will show the truth of who you are. Seeing this golden thread is about seeing your spirit and the light that lives within. Uncovering this may take time to see. After all, it took time to cover it up, right? But, doing this, allows you to be your authentic self and, when you are doing this, Joy shines through.
Everyone experiences times in their lives when they are living confidently and courageously. It’s the times when you feel most alive, centered and happy. You in-joy each moment. It’s when you are in the groove, and everything seems to flow. Even with challenges, you seem to rise to the occasion to meet them head on and accomplish overcoming them with great ease.
Understanding what you are doing and how you are in these moments is the starting point to uncovering your inner wisdom that is navigating this period.
Start by being the detective & uncover your truth by asking yourself these questions:
- When have you had experiences like this? Write down the three or four experiences that you have had.
- What was I doing precisely during these times? Be descriptive, use emotion and adjectives to depict these experiences.
- What did you love about these experiences?
- What was the result that you created where you felt so much joy?
- Finally, what is my inner wisdom telling me in this about my unique brilliance? What is the golden thread wrapped through these experiences?
So many women capture their truth by doing an exercise like this. For some, what comes up is their laughter eases all moments, or they see they have the ability to bring peace through diplomacy. Others might see that they spread love or release pain. What will happen when you do this exercise is that golden thread of who you are will jump off the paper and you will uncover your unique brilliance and truth. Remember, you are unique and so is the spirit within. When you can see that, you are well on your way to showing the world your beauty and for letting Joy into each moment.
Stay Connected to Your Core Truth.
Once you uncover your truth, it’s necessary to stay connected to it. Your inner wisdom, throughout life, has tried to guide you. It wants you to come out and sparkle. After all, you were able to identify the time in your life when it did, right?
What gets in the way of this truth is that you sabotage it. It becomes natural to cover up this true self. Some will do this with the wrong mindset. Others allow their emotions to define themselves instead of their truth. Still, others have created an entrenched belief system that put this inner wisdom on a shelf.
Allowing your truth to infuse all you do, you must be your number one priority. Otherwise, it is too easy for us to put it on the shelf. You cover it up, and your vibrant, your true self is shut down. You hold back that one thing that is necessary in every situation in life: YOU!
The best way to stay connected to this truth is to embrace strategies that keep it alive and in the forefront of your life. You must nurture your truth so that it outshines all that tries to sabotage it. Cultivating things like Journaling, visioning, Soul Coaching™, meditation, and yoga are ways to nurture your truth. Continuing to learn spirit awakening practices that allow you always to grow and glow is vital. Being in the presence of others who live their truth will also give yourself the permission to live yours.
Expressing & Glowing Your Truth
The last part of the equation for living your truth is to glow it. Too often, I see women who know what their true self is but then choose not to keep it to themselves. We are not to stand out, not to glow. After all, no one likes a show-off! But, your truth is a gift to all others and must be shared, if not wholly expressed
This glow is easily seen by talking about what it is not. It is not boasting. It is not bragging and it is certainly not showing-off. It is not being better than others, and it is not competition.
Expressing your truth and allowing it to glow is embracing it in all that you do. It’s about stepping into it and living it in every moment. When you are BEing it. It glows. It can’t help itself. Your truth and your spirit shine through, and it becomes expansive.
The woman who discovers her truth creates harmony. She doesn’t merely instill harmony at work or at home. She uses this gift in the line at the grocery store and while driving in traffic as I saw the other day! I could tell this woman’s truth was to be silly. We were in bumper to bumper traffic. The kind where most of the faces you see are laden with frustration and drivers dart in and out of lines to get ahead only to end up behind.
There, amid these faces was one that beamed silliness. I passed by this woman smiling. She waved hello, and appeared to be engaging with others as well. It was not a crazy wave nor was it shy. It was not loud nor was it quiet. It was a genuine, heartfelt, silly wave. It was the kind of wave you get from boaters out on the water enjoying a summer day!
Living your truth is telling others what it is without having actually to tell them. By living your truth, it glows all around you.
Living your truth begins by uncovering it. Uncovering who you are at the spiritual core starts the ability to glow. Staying centered and connected to your truth through deep understanding allows you the confidence to be live your truth. When you do, this truth glows, and you attract more glow which is exactly what you desire most.
So, go ahead and reveal your true self. Be your beautiful self. Let others see that “je ne said quoi’ just by you understanding and living your truth. Soon, you will discover the joy all around you.
