Word Pictures
Capturing feathers
Drifting through realms
Of Angelic presence
Ink flows
Gifting words of
Wisdom
Flowing through the heart
Of all possibility
A sigh of relief
Fills the pages
As I lovingly observe
Each thought
With expanding awareness
This feeling of enlightenment
Transcends expression
I surrender to the feeling
Transforming white space
With glorious revelation
Spirit is present
And with a sense of profound joy
I fall into the vibrational essence
Of physical translation
Word pictures
Pour through me
The ink on the page
Not yet dry
I give thanks.

Journal writing is an unfolding of your thoughts and is essential in helping you reflect on where you are truly at in all areas of your life. You will quickly discover that your journal is your confidante and best friend, helping you to design the life you have always wanted to live.
Your commitment to keep a journal is the greatest promise you will ever make to yourself. It’s the ultimate connection to your inner wisdom and getting to know yourself at a deeper level.
Within the pages of your journal you will look at your life from every angle and the more you learn about yourself, the deeper you will go. These pages are your life anthology, a detailed treasure map that explores where you came from and where you are going.
In becoming a conscious observer of your life, you become a more effective thinker and deliberate creator of your experience.
“The gathering and exploration of new ideas is the catalyst for a deeper and more meaningful life.”
Journal writing captures thoughts that are otherwise fleeting. Thoughts can go as quickly as they come and what you don’t make note of in the moment is more often than not, lost forever.
How often do you have inspired thoughts throughout the day and make a mental note to remember them? How often do you actually remember those thoughts? Personally, I have lost many moments of inspiration because I didn’t write them down. Can you relate?
What is the most effective way to capture your thoughts?
There are no set rules when it comes to journaling. The best choice is the one that you can easily commit to.
Choosing a book and pen, or another method that resonates with you is essential in keeping your commitment to write on a regular basis. Consider the size, quality and design of your journal. Do you prefer lined or blank pages? What style of pen and color of ink do you prefer?
If you are like me, you may prefer a mixed approach including pen to paper, dictating your thoughts into your mobile device or typing them into your word processor.
The method I choose depends on what’s going on in any given moment. If I’m out for a walk and inspiration strikes, I quickly make a note on my mobile. If I’m at home or in a café I’ll capture thoughts in my word processor. If I’m feeling more relaxed and reflective I’ll pick up my leather bound journal.
The thing is, if you wait until the end of day to write down your ideas, you will most likely forget some of the details if not the entire inspiration all together. Always be prepared to use whatever tool you need to quickly record inspiration when it shows up.
Dive deeper into your journaling experience by using mixed media. Find pictures, music or quotes. Tap into your own talents using whatever expression resonates with you to expand your journey with creative journaling.
“Inspiration surrounds you. Your responsibility is to be present to receive and capture it.”
Leave grammar and spelling behind. This is your place to express yourself without judgement.
What should you write about?
Simply begin by writing about what’s going on in your life. How do you feel about how things are going at home, at work or with friends and family? Write about your dreams and aspirations. What makes your heart sing? What change would you like to experience? Just start writing and allow the words to flow unedited.
Set time aside once a month to reread your journal. Rereading what you have written will lead you to increased levels of awareness. Reading between the lines of your inner most feelings, dreams, observations and reactions can reveal much more than what you have written.
How do you feel when you read your observations and feelings about others? About their successes, their relationships, your judgements about how they live their lives? Revisiting these thoughts can help uncover limited belief systems that you didn’t even know you had.
“With new awareness comes the opportunity to make new choices.”
Choose to move from resentment to support, jealousy to acceptance, judgement to allowance, fear to empowerment. Your old ways of being will be exposed through the lens of truth.
The more you translate your outer world onto the pages of your journal, the better you become at understanding what’s going on within you. From this perspective you no longer focus on external circumstances and learn how to live authentically from the inside out. This is where your true power resides and from where you create your new life.
Committing to regular journaling may feel daunting. Life is busy. Adding another item to your daily routine may seem unrealistic. However, if you are committed to quantum growth in your life then you owe it to yourself to seriously explore journal writing.
“Be the author of your own life and create the limitless circumstances that are available to you.”
Start today. Schedule time in your calendar and adjust as you go. The key to successful journal writing is in discovering what works best for you. Write as often as you wish or feel you need.
Journal writing has a great power to reflect your capability. It can hold your thoughts and minds. But before writing journals you have to practice it daily and have to follow some essay writing services. Then you can be the author of your own life.
