Each of us make choices every day. Among the more basic, every-day choices, we may choose what color to wear, what time to meet a friend for lunch, what to feed the kids, which yoga pose is our favorite, and on and on. If you are to live a life filled with your dreams and achieved goals, there are eight choices that are crucial to make. Doing so sets you on the path towards having your desires.
.Choose what you want. If you are to have what you desire, the first thing you must do is figure out what it is that you desire. When operating intentionally in your life, rather than operating by default, you get to make that choice. Out of the vast world of options, which one speaks to you? Choose one. Then decide that one IS the choice you are making, that it is what you desire. All decisions are a choice but not all choices are decisions. To decide on one choice is to cut off all other choices. This is a powerful statement to the Universe about what you have chosen. Perhaps you’ve chosen to complete your degree and have decided that the bachelor’s degree in art is yours.
.Choose gratitude. Choosing to have gratitude or thankfulness in advance of having manifested the desire is a way to show the Universe that you expect to have it, you believe you will have it and that you are grateful and appreciative to the Universe for delivering it to you. For example, you desire to have two children, so you might have gratitude in advance for the two healthy children the Universe blessed you with, whose names are Gracie and Joseph, after your grandparents.
.Choose Intention, Attention & No Tension. There are three parts to this powerful statement that simplifies manifestation. You’ve learned that you must choose with Intention and you must make a decision to have the desire you’ve chosen. Next, choose to put your Attention on what you have chosen for your desire. Choose where you place your focus. Your life is a result of what you focus on. Your focus has that much power. Are you focused on the having of the desire or the lack of the desire? Have No Tension about the desire. Having no tension means that you are in a good feeling place about your desire. There is no need to get it at a specific time, in a specific way. You feel good in your body about it. You’ve cleaned up any feelings of need, lack or urgency so that you can enjoy the at-ease feeling in your body about the desire and truly come from a place of gratitude in the above choice.
.Choose your thoughts. Did you know you get to choose your thoughts? They don’t just land in your head, and you are stuck with them. If you don’t like one, you are free to change it to anything you want. Yes, anything! With so many thoughts going through each of our minds each day, choosing how to think can change the way the rest of your day goes. What if you chose to think that the person in line in front of you at Starbucks is thoughtfully making their own choice, rather than thinking they are scattered and holding up the line. Try on different thoughts and see how they make you feel, as if you are trying on new sweaters to see which is the best fit. If it feels good, you may choose to keep that thought. If it doesn’t, you get to choose a different sweater, so to speak.
.Choose how to feel. By choosing your thoughts you are choosing your feelings. Your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings are what drive you to act in a certain way or to take no specific action at all. You have the power to change a thought to something that produces a better feeling. You can choose a feeling you’d like to feel and then find a thought that produces that feeling. For instance, you may want to feel secure. A thought that could produce that feeling could be, “The Universe is always taking care of me.” Or maybe you want to feel truly loved, yet you aren’t in a romantic relationship at the moment. A thought that could produce that feeling could be, “I choose to truly love myself deeply and in doing so that makes it possible for someone else to truly love me.”
.Choose what to believe. Just like with your thoughts, you get to choose what to believe. Thoughts you think repeatedly lead to what you believe. You get to choose to repeatedly think a thought that leads to a particular belief or to change that belief by changing the thought that created it. Other people’s opinions and thoughts about you are theirs. The great thing about choice, is that you get to choose whether you agree with great Aunt Betty that you are always missing out on that opportunity for love or you get to choose to believe instead that you are open to the Universe matching you up with the man you seek that also seeks you, just as you are.
.Choose your Divine partners. It is your choice which Divine partners you work with in your day-to-day life, or intentional manifestation moments. Who do you want to work with in the Divine or Cosmic realm, if any? You may choose to call in and work with your Angels, Mother Mary, Spirit, Gaia, Buddha, your higher Divine self or any or all of these and more. It can be an extraordinary experience to get to choose who you resonate with and get to play with them. The Universe likes to have fun with us.
.Choose fun and joy. When faced with anything you are choosing to do, if it isn’t something you find fun or enjoyable, get creative and find a way to make it something you look forward to. The more time you can spend feeling good feelings that bring laughter and play into your life, the more in alignment to your desires you become. You are one thought away from finding “paying the bills” a game of giving money out into the Universe and visualizing a way the same amount comes back to you in the form of something other than money or its equivalent.
Hopefully, you can see that each of the above IS a choice, one that determines how you experience this one, grand life you are living right now. Choose your life.
