The voice in our heads can keep us spinning our wheels without actually moving us forward. Most likely you have been in the predicament of giving audience to the voices in your head too. We all have, including myself.
The great news is there is a way to quiet that voice and break out of the shackles keeping you stuck—and instead tune into the Goddess voice within.
Imagine listening to the voice of love and empowerment instead.
We have two voices within and those are:
- The voice of your limiting or conditioned self. That’s the one always there keeping you small and reminding you of all the times you have attempted to step outside your comfort zone.
- The voice of your intuition or Goddess Self. This voice translates communications from your emotions and soul through Divine connection.
How do you sort through all the chatter going on in your head and tune in to your inner wisdom?
It is important to begin with discerning self-talk from the Goddess voice of your inner wisdom.
Your limiting or conditioned self-talk is the voice that keeps you small and living in your comfort zone. It doesn’t like change, whether that change is good or bad for you. It will do and say anything to keep you from transforming your current state of BEing into a more healthy, happy and whole version of yourself.
In other words, limiting self-talk doesn’t help you feel good about yourself. It lowers your self-confidence, your self-worth & your self-control which can then spiral into some of these common symptoms: increased frustration, a short fuse, feeling easily triggered, always looking over your shoulder, having that sense of feeling not good enough and more. This inner voice drains your energy and can keep you in a constant state of being tired, and unfocused.
We’re all familiar with that voice and its effect on our lives, so let’s talk about the loving and empowering Goddess voice.
The Goddess voice is the voice of your inner wisdom. This loving and empowering voice comes through your intuition and there are several different ways your intuition communicates with you. It’s fun to discover which way or ways your intuition speaks to you through the various Clairs that I share below.
Clairvoyance is Inner Vision. It can come in flashes or as elaborate as a movie playing out in your brain, much like when reading a book you get flashes, pictures and movies playing out in your head.
Clairaudience is clear Inner Hearing. For me this is like listening to FM Mono or AM radio as it can be staticky, distant sounding with an echo-yet it is happening inside your head. It can also be crystal clear and sound like a whisper or voice you know not to be yours.
Claircognizance is your Intuition. Think of Jethro Gibbs from NCIS and his, “I know it in my gut”. A clear undeniable knowing without knowing how you know.
Clairsentience is having a clear feeling of someone else’s physical symptoms
Clairgustance is taste-tasting something that physically is not in your environment.
Clairalience is smell- smelling something that physically is not in your environment.
Clairtangency is the ability to read objects, a.k.a. Psychometry as well as when you are using divination, you are tapping into this intuitive sense. Divination is the art of interpreting tools such as; oracle cards, tarot cards, tea leaves, coffee grounds, runes, scrying, etc. This can also be accessed by engaging in repetitive actions that allow for you to disengage your mind such as; coloring, spinning wool, cleaning dishes, vacuuming, etc.
Intuition, commonly referred to as a ‘gut feeling’, is our innate wisdom to know and trust what we know without questioning how we know it. We are all born with it. The Clairs are the venue in which we receive this communication.
Here are 5 ways you can connect with and strengthen your intuitive abilities:
- Creating and committing to a daily practice. This practice will help you connect deeper with your intuition which will ripple into every aspect of your life.
- Listen to your body. Tune into your body to learn how to decipher and heed your ‘gut feelings’. Start a section of your journal where you can record these sensations and observe what patterns show up so you can better learn how your intuition speaks to you.
- Get creative. Just as you can increase your creativity through practice, you can boost your intuition through creativity because they support each other. You don’t need to be an artist to be creative. It can be the way you cook, bake, garden, write, teach, craft, design, or dress. Have fun with it.
- Take time for solitude. Solitude can help give rise to creative thinking, help us connect to our deepest inner wisdom and reconnect you with yourself. (Hence the daily practice.)
- Mindfully let go of negative emotions. Strong, pent-up, unprocessed emotions, especially negative ones weaken your intuitive connection. It then follows that in releasing these emotions it weakens the armor keeping you from your intuitive senses and trusting them.
Lastly, I’d like to take a moment to explain the difference between intuition and inner wisdom. Everything I have mentioned above about your intuition helps you to both access your inner wisdom as well as add to it.
To explain further, your intuition is a form of communication through your Divine connection. Your inner wisdom is what you gain by taking yourself through the transformational processes on your spiritual path.
Your Goddess voice brings both your intuition and inner wisdom together in a way that is unique to you as she represents the truest essence of who you are.
Give yourself the gift of honoring your Goddess voice and watch life unfold in magical ways.
