5 Tips for Stepping into Your Next Life Adventure

5 Tips for Stepping into Your Next Life Adventure by Dawn Michele Jackson | #AspireMag

Have you ever felt stuck in life knowing you were meant for more?

Most of us at some time in our lives have felt this way. Perhaps your job is no longer fulfilling. Maybe your relationship lacks the spark you desire. If this is the case, your heart likely yearns for more but your mind may keep reminding you of all the reasons to stay put versus make a change.

The problem with staying in your current comfort zone is that it may not be comfortable anymore. The situation you find yourself in is familiar but that doesn’t mean it feels good. By staying in familiar versus creating change you cease to grow and may feel as if you are living someone else’s existence, not one meant for you.

Having stuck it out for years in a career in which my soul felt depleted I understand how hard it can be to make a change. Fear can keep any of us stuck for months, years, and even decades. The universe can present new pathways and open doors yet many of us stand back and ignore the signs. We wait for assurance that we will be okay and that we are choosing the right path. The problem is that until you take that step the only outcome you are guaranteed is your current experience continuing. You must take a step forward and let the magic work its way into your life.

Here are 5 tips for helping you step out of what no longer serves you and step into your next life adventure.

1. Have Faith: You may hold faith in a higher power, or the universe, but it’s important to also have faith in yourself. It’s normal to doubt your decision to make a change. It’s normal to experience fear and hesitation but take a moment to pause and look at your past. You have accomplished so much in your time here on earth. Have faith in your ability to prosper in your life regardless of the path you choose.

2. Step into the Fear: Fear is the number one thing that holds us back from moving forward in the direction of our dreams. You might believe that fear equals failure meaning that the feeling of fear is letting you know this move is not going to be successful.

The truth is that every significant change in life can invoke fear. If you don’t know the outcome it can feel scary and overwhelming. You might doubt your dreams and choose to stay where you are but without movement, you’ll never know what you can manifest.

3. Hold the Vision: Every dream begins with a vision. By holding the vision of what you desire and allowing yourself to feel the excitement as if it’s already happened, manifestation is put in motion.

Take time to create a vision board with pictures and words representing what you desire to create. Make it colorful! Place things on your board even if they seem out of reach. Let your heart be creative.

Journal about your life in the future. Write about the excitement you feel and all the amazing accomplishments, new adventures, and paths you’re walking down. Let your words affirm your wishes.

4. Pause for Self-Care: It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you begin making changes in your life. Create time each day to breathe, meditate, reflect, and ground yourself. Big changes can feel scary. Make sure that you are gentle with yourself during this time. Refrain from judgment and criticism. Love yourself like you love those who are precious to you. Remember that you are a brilliant soul here to live your best life. Nurture your dreams as you become the most authentic version of yourself.

5. Watch for Open Doors: When you’re buried in the to-do’s of change it’s easy to walk right by an opportunity that’s presenting itself to you. Make sure you walk softly along your new path to you don’t miss open doors waiting for you to step through them.

The universe has a way of guiding you once you’ve put the vision out regarding your deepest desires. However, you must notice the signs along the way leading you to what is meant for your journey.

It’s okay to pause before the open doors. Perhaps not all of them are ones you feel ready for or want to walk through. Choose the doors that represent things that honor you and lead you to become the highest version of yourself.

Change is rarely easy but with change, your world will open to new opportunities and relationships. You are meant for more than your mind can even dream about at this moment. Make sure you don’t miss those signs leading you to open doors and life changes that will ignite greater passion in your life.
