5 Reasons Why Living Your Purpose Cannot Wait for “Someday”

5 Reasons Why Living Your Purpose Cannot Wait for “Someday” by Patricia Young | #AspireMag

I truly believe that we’re going through a transformational time on the planet, the healing energy coming to us, at a spiritual level, is pushing us to align with our Life Purpose and share our gifts and talents with the world…I know this because I’ve felt it myself, and my clients share with me a common feeling – a deep longing inside, an urge to do meaningful work – work that makes them feel alive and makes a difference.

I also believe that the epidemic use of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication, in a way, is a band-aid for the underlying issue of being disconnected from one’s true self–and one’s true purpose. I know that, at some point, some people could need medication, but I think that suppressing who we really are and what we came here to do has consequences of making us feel despair, hopelessness and it creates anxiety – I was there myself…

“Our true self is filled with passion, creativity and a purpose that desires to be fully expressed.”

These are some of the reasons why living your purpose cannot wait for “someday”. Someday is not in the calendar and life is really short – we know that we’re here today but we never know when we’re leaving this beautiful planet, so read on…

1. There’s a lot of discomfort and dissatisfaction that we feel when we’re not in alignment with our unique purpose – we feel a longing that gets louder and louder, and we tend to feel out of place because we’re not doing what we came here to do. That discomfort is actually giving us feedback – the stronger the discomfort, the more feedback we’re getting.

In my case, I was getting frequent panic attacks while I was at work about 2 years ago… Until I finally understood that those messages were signals from my spirit.

2. If you think of it from a holistic perspective, things can get very uncomfortable in other areas of our lives when we’re unfulfilled. Our career can affect our relationships, our personal life and our health – all is connected. When we’re out of alignment in one area it will create an ripple effect in other areas of our lives as well.

3. There’s a special kind of joy and a deep level of fulfillment that you won’t feel with anything else in your life – And here’s a clue – If you can’t wait to end the day and feel drained and dragging every day when you wake up every morning, you’re not aligned to your Life Purpose. Despite the challenges that we may face, because we all can have a bad day, if you feel a constant of feeling lack of energy and dissatisfaction, or feeling drained and unhappy every day, you need to listen to the feedback and take action!

4. People need your gifts now – I truly believe that each person was put on this earth for a unique purpose, it is as unique as a fingerprint. Not following your Purpose, and not acknowledging your gifts and talents, not only dishonors who you are and who you came here to be, but also, it’s a disservice to those around you and to the world in general.

5. Taking ownership of your own life and giving yourself permission to explore is the best act of self-love you can do for yourself. I know that, in my case, my journey to fulfillment started with unapologetic self-love, listening to my inner guidance and having a blind faith in who I was designed to be.

“Awakening to your own truth, aligning with your Life Purpose and having your own business is one of the most exciting and courageous things you will ever do in your life.”

When we follow our Life’s Purpose, we not only fulfill our lives, but we start changing the world by sharing our unique contribution and creating a ripple of goodness and love that extends to everyone around us.

So I invite you to ask yourself these questions…Are you following the path of your life purpose? Do you feel filled with aliveness, vibrancy and excitement about your life every morning? If not, then, What are the consequences of NOT doing it? You don’t want to look back on your life one day with regrets…There is an incredible loss of you not following your purpose–there is your own loss of the joy of not following your passion and sharing your gifts – but also, the loss of the people who will miss out on what you came here to share.
